No More Ambien for Ash
It is two o clock in the morning. What am I doing up and online, you ask? I took an Ambien about, oh, four hours ago and I am WIDE awake. Not only did it not make me sleepy, I CAN'T sleep. This is a girl who can take 1 tylenol p.m. and be knocked out. Ever heard of anyone taking an Ambien and it having the opposite effect? Nope, me neither. So after two hours of listening to my husband snore, I ventured downstairs to leave this entry. {{SIGH}}

Oh.. I hate when I can't sleep. Especially if I took something that was supposed to get me to La La land. Speaking of sleep.. I better get off this computer and get some, because I can barely keep my eyes open, while writing this comment!

Ambien did that to me. the Ambien CR that is. I was all messed up on it, but I couldn't sleep. it was awful.

I've taken Dalmane, also a sleeping aid, and the exact thing has happened. My mind is racing, and I am not in the least bit sleepy!! I am trying to watch what I eat that might affect my sleep. No caffeine, no sweets (not ice cream, cereal), actually, no food after 7 pm. I go to bed at 9. Doesn't always help. It is so frustrating to have sleep elude you!! Take care...

I am not even sure what Ambien is? I have never heard of it. Sorry you could not sleep. I hate sleepless nights. Hopefully you can catch a nap today!

Have you ever been diagnosed as hyperactive? I find that lots of drugs affect me just the opposite of most people. Good example is Nyquil. Supposed to practically knock you out... when I took it I staid up all night long and cleaned the whole house.. and I was sick <LOL>. It just made me wide-awake and jittery.

Ambien only worked twice for me. The first time I took it I was knocked out and the 2nd time I was eatting in my sleep. After that it never worked again. Lunesta doesnt work for me either..
